Since 2020, IOM Copenhagen staff work with IOM’s Protection and Assistance Division, of the Department of Migration Management, to implement select global initiatives to develop the evidence base needed to uphold human rights in the context of migration, with a focus on human trafficking.

Examples include the Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative, the first global portal on human trafficking with primary data contributed by multiple agencies, and programming to establish and build capacity on international standards for the collection, management and use of human trafficking data.
