Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. IOM Copenhagen provides a comprehensive response to the humanitarian needs of asylum seekers and particularly vulnerable groups.

Migration Management includes such migration sectors as labour and facilitated migration, migration and development, counter-trafficking, assisted voluntary return, migration health, assistance for vulnerable migrants, immigration and border management and overall capacity-building in migration management.
IOM Denmark has since the establishment of the office in 2009 cooperated with Danish authorities and partners on a number of migration projects and areas such as assisted voluntary return and reintegration, assistance to vulnerable migrants, and resettlement of quota refugees.
